WELCOME TO OUR BLOG
Are you planning to attend the World Assembly
in 2009? If so, I hope that you will
participate in this blog.
My name is Sister Carol Burk and I am
a member of the Deaconess Community
of the Evangelical Lutheran Church
in America. My hope is that you, as a member of
a diaconal community/group/roster,
will share your experiences in several ways:

Tell us about your diaconal group:
Where do you serve?
To which Church body do you relate?
How is your group structured?

I have never attended a World Assembly,
even though I am part of the Planning Committee,
and I would like to hear what you have to say
about your experiences.

Tell us about yourself,
so that we can get to know you.
If possible, send us a photo of yourself,
so we can recognize one another
at the Assembly.

Let’s brainstorm ideas about
how we can form
a circle of diaconal friends—a circle
that will last
beyond the assembly.

Share your ideas about this blog
and how it can be used.

Please try again. I am relatively new at blogging and I haven’t learned all I need to know. I checked your message as “approved.” Maybe that will give you access.
